Bryce Point in Winter at Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Point Sunrise

Bryce Point offers one of the best sunrise views especially in winter. You’ll witness the top of Bryce Canyon’s famous hoodoos lighting up as the sun rises while overlooking the infamous Bryce Amphitheater. It was truly extraordinary.

Directions

The drive to Bryce Point was only about 10 to 15 minutes from where we stayed (Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn) so we didn’t need to wake up that early.

Bryce Point Viewpoint

Maybe it was because it was too cold for people or it was too early (I doubt that though) but surprisingly when we arrived at the parking lot at Bryce Point, it was still pretty empty (compared to Sunset Point the night prior). We managed to find a really good viewing area and had it all to ourselves the whole time.

Make sure to dress warmly if you visit during winter! We also recommend getting snow cleats – they definitely helped us walk on the snow/ice.

When we were done in this area, we walked a couple minutes and there was another viewing deck. It was super windy here so we only stayed for a short while.

Bryce Point offered superb views and for little effort. The hardest part was waking up early enough to see the sun rise!
