MODS Museum of Dream Space

Brea and I bought our VIP tickets when we first heard about this museum because the digital art here really reminded us of a museum in Japan that we didn’t get to visit.
On the day that we went to the MODS Museum, we also went with Brea’s sister and her family. They decided to upgrade their tickets to VIP too when they got there. There is a small line for the VIP section so we were waiting for a few minutes before one of the workers gave us the option to walk through the rooms ourselves first since our photographers were not ready yet. We thought this was a good idea so that we can get a feel for the rooms and see what we liked the most. There are 6 rooms total and no time limit. It took us less than an hour to get through all the rooms and take our photos.

Gold Reflection Room

This is the first room you will encounter and it is covered in a gold/yellowish reflection paper. You can get very interesting perspectives depending on where you stand. One thing to keep in mind is that you will most likely get someone’s reflection in your picture.

Digital Art Room

This next room is actually split out into 2 parts. The first part (on your right) has digital images of flowers that go from the ceiling to the floor.

MODS Museum

The second part of this room is a life-size painting that will change after a few seconds. If you miss the painting that you like, don’t worry you just have to stand there and wait for it to rotate back.

Kaleidoscope Pattern Room

At first this room can be a little underwhelming because it is pretty dark and only features a kaleidoscope looking pattern on the wall. However, you can get pretty creative with your photos and videos here.

Crystal Ball Room

This room is exactly how it sounds – filled with hanging crystal balls. A downside of this room is that there are only a few spots where it is a good photo spot. But one advantage of getting the VIP package is that the photographer can ask people to move and can also tell you how to pose.

Pink Hanging Chandeliers

This room was one of the more visually pleasing rooms with beautiful hanging chandeliers. It will definitely remind you of other art in other museums like Wonder Spaces in San Diego.

Lantern Room

This is the final exhibit at MODS Museum and it features hanging lanterns. The room is actually smaller than it seems but still provided a good ending to our time here.

Overall, MODS Museum was fun and surprisingly, we did get some pretty decent pictures. I like that it wasn’t timed and didn’t take us long to explore each rooms more than once. We would probably revisit if it was a little closer to us.
