This pop-up experience is a little different than other pop-ups that we’ve been to recently. Partywith features different interactive and Instagram-worthy installations. Since this pop-up is relatively new, there was no one there the night that we went, so we basically had the whole place to ourselves! Needless to say, we got some pretty good pictures (and there are a lot in here).

Partywith
There are about 15 different installations at Partywith. Once you enter the experience, you are free to go to any area that you want to at your own pace. We really liked this aspect because in other pop-ups, you have a guide which means you have a certain time limit for each room.
When you first walk in, you will be in their gift shop. This is the entrance and exit so you can come back here at the end to shop around. There are even couches that you can sit on.
To enter the museum, you go through this vending machine! Yes it looks like a vending machine but it swings out. An attendant will open the door for you so you don’t have to try to figure it out.
Every room provided a unique and dynamic photo-op with perfect lighting!
Here were some of our favorites:
Wall of Roses
This is the first room that you will see. Actually it is really three rooms – each a different color. All of the walls are covered in roses – red, purple, and blue. You can pick the color that you like the most or that most compliments you.
Red Roses
Some photo ideas include standing in the corner or against the wall like this:
Or you can also do the same pose in each of the three rooms and have something like this. It’s not easy keeping the same pose in multiple pictures!
You Can’t Sit With Us
The next area that we went to consisted of a couch, a floor mat, and a sign on the back wall that said “You Can’t Sit With Us”. Brea found a stool so we used that to take pictures of ourselves (using the WiFi remote function on her camera).
Our friend who went with us did a trick on the floor mat which looked pretty cool.
We spent some time trying to do more tricks here. If you fall, the rug is very soft.
Colorful Projector Wall
Across from the You Can’t Sit With Us piece, you’ll find a wall with projectors displaying multiple colors. You’re basically in a music video here!
This area is very similar to a room in 29Rooms. We will explain further when we post about our experience there later.
Eggplant and Peach Ball Pits
To the right of the You Can’t Sit With us area, there are 2 big ball pits – one is filled with eggplants and the other is filled with peaches. You are able to jump in to either ball pit or even both if you wanted to. Just make sure to take off your shoes beforehand. There’s a shoe rack available to place your items.
We didn’t jump in but we did play with the giant eggplant that was next to the ball pits. Our friend even threw some of the balls at Brea (we picked up the balls after though).
Rainbow Tunnel
In my opinion, The Rainbow Tunnel was the main installation at Partywith. This was my favorite room – the vibrant colors and the mirrors at each end made any photo you took look really lively and compelling. You can also borrow some clothes from Partywith for your pictures such as hats and kimonos–free of charge!
Dirty Laundry Room
If you keep walking, you’ll come across a small room with just a washer. The backdrop says dirty and has hangers all around. You are allowed to climb and sit on the top of the washer. One of the staff even came over and was giving us suggestions on what poses to do.
Neon Lights
There was a small area where there were neon lights on white and black backgrounds. If you are patient, you can get an appealingly symmetrical picture. It’ll look even better if there are two people in the picture, wearing opposing colors.
Crystal Room
I call this the Crystal Room but it isn’t actually made out of crystals. The room is covered with glossy, shiny paper. At some angles, it gives off the impression that you’re surrounded by crystals.
OOTD
You should come to Partywith with the mindset that you’re going to a photo shoot. With that in mind, make sure to wear something nice that you’ll like to see in your photos. And definitely take a picture in front of this sign with your “outfit of the day”.
Some other rooms included:
WDGAF
Good Vibes Only
The Perfect Mural
Disco Balls
Move Aside We Got a Table
Gift Shop
After we were done exploring all of the different rooms, we went on to the gift shop. They sell some pretty neat things – we bought this ornament for our tree.
Zero Likes Given
We were also able to meet the founder of Partywith. Brea spoke with her about the museum in detail and the history/reason of it’s creation.
Lately, we’ve been finding that we go to more and more pop-ups or events like these. Sometimes everything blends together and the experience just seems repeated. But that wasn’t the case with Partywith. Designed specifically for your best photos, this pop-up makes it up our top 2 list! The founder wanted to make a place that’s accessible for everyone to be able to take studio-quality pictures. We would highly recommend this experience for anyone who likes to be in pictures, take pictures, or just likes to post on Instagram. It’s an all-in-one studio set up and ready to go without having to do the thinking behind that perfect lighting and placement!
