This pop-up museum features beautiful flowers as well as awe-inspiring augmented reality pieces! Check out their website for more details. The Art of Bloom is open Wednesday – Sunday and is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Admission
General admission tickets are $24 per person ($12 for kids ages 6-12). You can get a discount if you have a student or military ID ($18). We purchased our tickets on Groupon for $20 each.

The Art of Bloom
When you first enter the museum, you will see the Box Office on the right and some wall art on the left. The attendant will ask you to download an App on your phone that will be used in a later room. You will also be handed a map but you won’t need it here because there are basically only two rooms:
Petal Room
This is the main room and it features real flowers and petals that are illuminated. You can throw the petals that are the floor to create a visual affect. We went with 3 other people and they all threw petals at Brea while I took some photos. Here is the result of that:
The flowers and petals will also activate your senses due to their aroma.
Augmented Nature Room
You will use the App that you downloaded earlier in this room. There are several art pieces and when you view them through the App, things start to move! I found this room very entertaining.
Gift Shop
At the end of the museum is the gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs. You also get a free sticker that works in the App in case you want to use the AR at home.
Overall, this pop-up museum is a quick visit if you are looking for something to do in Long Beach. I thought the Petal Room was aesthetically pleasing and found the AR room amusing!
