EDC – What to Bring

EDC Light Up Bra

It’s almost that time of the year again. This time EDC has been moved a month earlier so it wouldn’t be so hot for party-goers. There is also an option for camping and a different shuttle system. This article will go over the necessities on what to bring to the hotel/place you’re staying at and what to bring in to EDC.

I’ll be attaching the link to some of the items to give you an idea of how much it costs and where you can get them. Most items you can buy from Amazon or Target. On the strip, they have a Walgreens and two malls (priced decently) for any last minute shopping – Fashion Show for the north of the strip and Miracle Mile for the south end of the strip.

What to bring to the Hotel:

  • Swimsuit
  • Shorts
  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes
  • Sandals
  • Sunblock
  • Lights
  • Portable speaker
  • Alcohol
  • A gallon of water (depending on how many is in your group, add 1 gallon for every 3 people)

What to bring to the Festival Grounds:

  • Wristbands
  • Phone – Firechat is a free app that allows you to send messages without internet or cell service nearby. This is worth looking into when there are thousands of people in one small space. Internet and cell service can be terrible.
  • Small backpack/fanny pack
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Some toilet paper
  • Sealed gum
  • Sealed chapstick
  • Portable charger
  • Camera – remember that you cannot bring certain items like professional detachable lens cameras. You can bring GoPros and selfie sticks!
  • Optional – bandana
  • Optional – diffraction glasses
  • Optional – kandi bracelets (can buy parts on Amazon or Michaels). Kandi bracelets are commonly used for trading and doing the PLUR (peace, love, unity, respect) handshake. People tend to either trade or give away to cool people they meet. Here’s a video on how to do the handshake.
  • Optional – custom light up bra

Key tips when you get there:

  • Set a meet up spot with a meet up time in case you get lost
  • Remember to check the prohibited items list and proceed with caution!

Have fun

and

stay hydrated!
