Bali

Tegalalang Rice Terrace

Bali was the second part of our trip (after Thailand) and we spent a total of 3 days here. This was one of our favorite places to visit and also one of the most well-rounded. There was a little bit of everything for everyone – from waterfalls, to beaches, to temples, to swings and even nests!

The Flight There

We flew from Phuket International Airport to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (the flight is about 1.5 hours if you fly non-stop).

On our way to Bali, we had a layover in Malaysia (our layover was in Singapore on the way back to Thailand).

Malaysia Airport

Malindo Air was a smaller aircraft but the leg space was not too bad.

If you walk around Ngurah Rai International Airport, you’ll find a few signs that welcome you to Bali! We took pictures with a couple.

Getting Around

We hired a private driver for the whole time that we were in Bali. This was very convenient because they drive you from one location to the next and will also wait for you.

If you don’t want to have a driver, you can also rent mopeds (for about $5 a day). Our Airbnb had one to rent but we never had time to use it unfortunately.

Things to Do

There are a lot of things that you can do while in Bali. Here were a couple of the places that we visited!

Beaches

There are many beaches you can enjoy while in Bali. You can even fly your drone here if you have one!

Where to Stay

We decided to stay in an Airbnb in Bali as well but there are many hotel options if you don’t want to pick an Airbnb. Our Airbnb was huge (2 floors, 3 rooms). There was even a pool inside the place!

Bali was beautiful and had so much to offer. Even though we only spent 3 days here, we were never bored!
